Perkeo creates a Negative copy of one random consumable held when you leave a shop. Its best use is to carry a small, high-impact consumable set and make sure the item you want copied is present at shop exit. Negative copies do not consume consumable capacity, so the engine improves over time if you preserve a useful target instead of spending everything immediately.

Perkeo has no Joker-board position, but consumable position matters at the end of the shop. Keep only the desired planet or tarot in the held consumable area before leaving when possible. For example, hold a planet for the hand you score most, spend unrelated consumables first, and exit the shop so Perkeo’s random choice has only a useful target.

Perkeo pairs with any consumable your current build values repeatedly: a planet for the primary hand, a tarot that advances deck editing, or another effect worth banking. Canio benefits when consumables support its destruction plan, while Yorick benefits from a stable route that gives time to accumulate resources. The important distinction is that the copied consumable is random among those held.

Skip Perkeo only if the run has no useful consumables to retain or cannot survive long enough to capitalize on repeated shop exits. It does not directly fix a losing score on the turn it arrives. When the next blind is lethal, a scoring Joker or immediate consumable may be more valuable than a long-term value engine.

Do not leave several low-value consumables in hand and expect Perkeo to target the best one. The selection is random. Another error is forgetting that its timing is the end of the shop; spending the desired target before leaving prevents a copy. Curate the held pool and plan the shop exit, not merely the purchase.

Treat the current in-game tooltip as the source of truth: patches, platform versions, and mods can change values, availability, or interactions. This rating is editorial rather than permanent; it weighs copy value, scaling ceiling, route stability, and required setup. When a version changes, the tooltip is checked before strategy notes and tiers are revised.
